The Green Hills tradition began in the early 1930s when Carrie Hawkins opened a roadside farm stand on Route 80 in South Onondaga. Carrie sold sweet corn along with extra vegetables from her garden.
That tradition continues today. We still buy direct from local farmers to provide our customers with homegrown produce that’s only travelled a couple miles to our store.
Through the years, we’ve added grocery items, scratch-made baked goods, and top quality, hand-cut meats, craft beers, and other meal solutions. Green Hills has grown, but stayed true to its roots as an independent family business supporting local farmers, producers and the community.
